That was Daeye Miller’s explanation for the 21 points he put up on Saturday afternoon at Hannibal. How did he account for the 15 rebounds he racked up?
“The ball just fell to me,” he said.
Miller was just one weapon wielded by coach Darren Pappas as the Bulldogs finally took the floor against the Pirates in the oft-postponed encounter. Despite a late night in Marshall on Friday, Mexico held Hannibal at bay to claim a 54-39 win.
“The offense struggled,” said head coach Darren Pappas. “It is what it is.”
